Does converting to another religion disqualify me from the Law of Return?

If you were born Jewish but have voluntarily converted to another religion, you are excluded from the Law of Return's definition of Jew. The Supreme Court has interpreted changed his religion to mean a deliberate, volitional act, not merely being raised in a non-Jewish household or failing to practice Judaism. Someone born to a Jewish mother who simply does not observe Jewish law remains eligible.
