Immigration & Aliyah

Can I return to my home country after making Aliyah?

Yes. There is no requirement that you remain in Israel after making Aliyah. However, extended absence from Israel may affect your residency status, access to certain benefits, and — for US citizens — your tax residency in both countries. You remain an Israeli citizen regardless of where you live, as long as you do not formally renounce citizenship.
