My spouse owns the apartment in their name alone — am I entitled to a share?

If the apartment was purchased during the marriage with marital funds, it forms part of the marital estate regardless of whose name it is registered in. You are entitled to an equal share of its value. However, if it was purchased with pre-marriage funds or was a gift or inheritance, it may be excluded.
