Is all property automatically split 50/50 on divorce in Israel?

Only the marital estate — assets accumulated during the marriage — is divided equally. Pre-marriage assets, gifts, and inheritances are generally excluded. A prenuptial agreement can change this default. The "50/50" rule applies to the net marital estate after excluded assets are identified.
