How much does Histadrut membership cost and what does it include for foreign workers?

The Histadrut (General Federation of Labor in Israel) accepts foreign workers as members. Membership fees are set at 1% of gross monthly salary, deducted directly from wages by the employer once a membership form is signed. For a worker earning the minimum wage of NIS 5,880/month in 2026, this is approximately NIS 59/month.

Membership includes: representation by the relevant trade union in collective bargaining; legal assistance for individual labor disputes through the Histadrut's legal bureau; access to Kupat Holim Clalit (health fund) enrollment at subsidized rates; and access to social and cultural benefits managed by the Workers' Welfare Fund (Keren Revacha). Foreign workers with valid work permits are entitled to full membership rights.
