What documents does PIBA require for a permanent residency application in Israel?

The core document package for a spousal permanent residency application at PIBA includes: a valid foreign passport; the current Israeli residency permit; the Israeli citizen or permanent resident spouse's identity documents; an apostilled foreign birth certificate with certified Hebrew translation; an apostilled foreign marriage certificate with certified Hebrew translation; police clearance certificates from every country of residence for the past 10 years (apostilled and translated, each dated within 6 months of the filing date); evidence of shared residence in Israel such as a lease, utility bills, or mortgage documents; and biometric-format passport-sized photos.

PIBA may request additional documents depending on the applicant's country of origin and personal circumstances. The filing fee as of 2025 is approximately NIS 260 per application.
