Inheritance & Probate

Do I pay Israeli tax when I receive an inheritance?

No. Israel has no inheritance tax. The act of inheriting Israeli assets does not trigger any Israeli tax. Taxes arise later — when you sell real estate (betterment tax), earn rental income (income tax), or in your home country depending on local law.
