Inheritance & Probate

Do heirs have to share equally in Israel if there is no will?

Not necessarily. Under the Israeli Succession Law 1965, the surviving spouse receives a fixed share plus the family home (or its value), and the remainder goes to children equally. The precise shares depend on the family structure at the time of death.
