Can I establish paternity in Israel if the child was born abroad?

Yes. An Israeli Family Court can hear a paternity petition if the child is habitually resident in Israel, or if there is another sufficient connection to Israel such as the father's Israeli citizenship or Israeli domicile. A foreign paternity order issued by a court with proper jurisdiction is also generally recognized in Israel once registered with the Population Registry.
