Family Law
Can a same-sex couple adopt a child in Israel?
Yes. Israeli family courts may grant joint adoption orders to same-sex couples who are registered as married in Israel. The process requires a social welfare assessment and court approval under the Adoption Law 5741-1981. Surrogacy is also available to same-sex male couples following recent legislative amendments.
