Can a foreign will disinherit a surviving Israeli spouse?
Israeli law protects the surviving spouse's right to the family home and certain minimum entitlements. A will — foreign or domestic — cannot deprive the surviving spouse of these statutory rights. The spouse may elect to take their statutory share under Israeli intestacy law rather than accept the will.
