Debt Collection

Can a creditor in the US or Europe enforce an Israeli debt settlement agreement?

A settlement agreement signed in Israel is a civil contract enforceable in Israeli courts. If the debtor has assets outside Israel, you would need to file a separate legal action in the jurisdiction where those assets are located. For this reason, including a promissory note or consent judgment in your Israeli settlement document gives you stronger enforcement tools within Israel itself — without needing to rely on international enforcement mechanisms.
