What language should a joint venture agreement in Israel be written in?
There is no statutory requirement that the JV agreement be in Hebrew. English-language contracts are fully enforceable in Israeli courts. However, the company's Articles of Association filed with the Companies Registrar are typically in Hebrew, and having key contractual documents available in Hebrew translation is advisable if disputes ever reach an Israeli court.
