What is the TASE exemption for non-resident investors?
Under Section 97(b2) of the Income Tax Ordinance, non-residents who are not Israeli citizens may be exempt from Israeli capital gains tax on gains from securities listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). The exemption does not apply to substantial shareholders (10% or more ownership) or to companies whose main assets are Israeli real estate.
