What is the probationary period in Israel?

Israeli law does not set a fixed statutory probationary period. Employers and employees may agree on a probationary period by contract — typically 3 to 6 months. During probation, the employer may terminate with shorter notice, but statutory protections including minimum wage, discrimination protection, and pension enrollment still apply from day one.
