Arbitration
How do I enforce an arbitration award against an Israeli company that refuses to pay?
You must first convert the award into a court judgment by applying to the District Court for an order confirming the award under Section 23 of the Arbitration Law 5728-1968. Once confirmed, the judgment is forwarded to the Execution Office (Lishkat HaHotzaa LaPoal) under the Enforcement Law 5727-1967. The Execution Office can then attach bank accounts, register real-estate liens through the Land Registry (Tabu), garnish salaries, and issue travel bans. The confirmation process takes 2-6 weeks when unopposed. For more detail, see When the Other Party Refuses to Arbitrate in Israel: Your Legal Options.
