How are trade secrets protected in Israel?

Israel does not have a standalone trade secrets statute, but trade secrets are protected through several overlapping legal mechanisms: the Commercial Torts Law 1999 (which prohibits misappropriation of trade secrets), contractual confidentiality obligations, and general tort law principles. To strengthen protection, businesses should use well-drafted non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality clauses in employment contracts, and implement reasonable internal measures to keep the information secret.
