Arbitration

Can I enforce an Israeli arbitration award in the United States?

Yes. Both Israel and the United States are parties to the New York Convention. You file a petition to confirm the award under Chapter 2 of the Federal Arbitration Act in the US federal district court where the losing party has assets. The court applies a presumption in favour of confirmation and can refuse only on the narrow Article V grounds. An uncontested confirmation typically takes two to six months.
