Can crypto losses offset my salary or other income in Israel?

Generally, no. Under the Income Tax Ordinance, capital losses can only offset capital gains, not ordinary income such as employment or business income. If your crypto losses exceed your capital gains for the year, the net capital loss can be carried forward to offset capital gains in future years. There is no time limit on carrying forward capital losses in Israel, but they cannot be carried back to prior years.
